Lily Giggle is Back On
I am an affiliate of Lilly Giggle, this post does contain affiliate links to their shop : )
OMGosh!!!Can you believe this fantastic news! Yes I know I can be a little silly but I am genuinely very excited about the return of Lily Giggle Sewing patterns. I became a big fan many years ago when I first saw the Zinna Dress in a photo on Brownie Goose's Blog (by the way she is another fabulous designer). I purchased the pattern immediatly and I actually did sew it up immediatly! I than began purchasing more and more of the patterns. When I heard the news LilyGiggle would be closing shop I was genuinely sad, sad like when Guns n' Roses split up and. But hey they are back. Not the original GNR, but Lily Giggle! And they are not just back but back with a vengeance. Meaning she has a bunch of new patterns and some revamped old patterns. Anyways, If I would have just started with the photos than I would have had you with that : )
Lets start with the skirt!

Hip Hop Harem Pants
Here I am again with another pattern test. Testing seems to be the only thing I blog about lately, but to be honest testing is the only sewing I have been doing. I love to test new patterns. The deadline keeps me on task, making new friends around the world, and the designers are always so nice (Lydia the designer at Kiwis Closest was sooo nice) ! But I think the reason I love testing the most is that you get to see all of these wonderful takes on one pattern. Today I think I will share ONE of my take : ) Hehe I have another I plan to share later.
I used interlock knit for Mila's harem pants. I had won the fabric on Facebook from Banberry Place I think

From mom's old clothes to babys new clothes
Pre-pregnancy I was three sizes smaller. I always gain tons of weight with each baby, but I had always lost it after baby, and lost it quick! Baby 4...no such luck. I am almost one year out and I may have actually gained a few pounds. It's a little depressing but the baby is so worth it : ). My closet is now filled to the roof with my pre-pregnancy clothes and my new and larger after pregnancy clothes. I decided to clean it out a bit. I still have hopes to fit in those clothes some day, so I did not get rid of it all. A few items I really did not like were packed for the thrift shop. Luckily I am not the quickest at dropping my stuff off because the bag full of clothes has been sitting in another closet for about a month. I say luckily because Project Run and Play week 3 just happens to be repurposing week. I dug through the bag and found an old sweater and turtleneck tee shirt both from Old Navy. They have both seen lots of use but the fabric was still in great shape. I did take a picture of the sweater with my phone but for some not very smart reason I deleted it. Luckly I had two sweaters. The off white sweater was almost the same as this purple one. Just off white and the collar was

A JENUINELY AMAZINGLY COMPLETELY AWESOME PATTERN
I am an affiliate of Jennuine Designs. This post does contain affiliate links
Am I here...On a real blogging tour...Why yes I am! How fun for me! Well actually it makes me a little nervous because the sewing is a whole lot of fun, but when it gets to writing about it...I feel a little silly. I am never sure if I am making any since or sounding like a silly person. So I really hope I do not sound soo silly because this is a pattern I really want to make some since about!

Testing 1.2.3 the Persimmon Dress
This pattern is now available on Mouse House Creations shop. Grap it here at my affiliate link
Wow, I have never done so much blogging in one week. and I still have three more outfits to write about! I am not a big fan of the writing part because I feel like I am sounding silly or I just go blank. Well I don't think you will need to read much because the dress/tunic says it all!
Sorry, I can now see it is a bad idea to edit photos on my laptop. I now see most of my pictures are a little over exposed. It just makes the dress stand out a little more I guess : )
Let me start by telling you about the new pattern collaborative named Willow & Co. It is a group of extra talented designers who have came together to offer you some of the best patterns out there. This spring they are releasing there first collection named Wanderlust.

Ballon Top test for Heidi & Finn
It's available! Fine the pattern here at
https://www.etsy.com/listing/186315257/new-ballon-top-pattern-and-tutorial-12m
If you have read my blog before or look back through my posts you would certainly notice I am a big fan of Heidi & Finn Patterns. It may have started way back before I had a daughter with my very first PDF pattern purchase, the Perfect Party Dress. I made the dress for a friends daughter and it was a big hit! The pattern was sweet, simple, and absolutely beautiful. I was an immediate fan. Now days I own just about every Heidi & Finn pattern avaiable. Christine's patterns never disappoint, and anyone can sew them up. They are that easy!

Bear Country
I recently had the opportunity to test a few of the new patterns coming out for Willow & Co. Four patterns to be exact! Willow & Co. is a new pattern collaborative that is releasing there first pattern line this spring. The line is called Wanderlust. And can I say each and every pattern is adorable and the designers are not just very talented but also sooo kind. I have had so much fun this last few weeks and am a little sad the testing stage is over. But GEEZ you should see my sewing room. It is time for a good clean up!
I am starting out with the first of the four patterns I tested. This little pattern is just brilliant, and can I say adorable : ). This is the Fawn Lilly Dress/Blouse by Rebecca of Rock The Stitch.

Heidi and Finn Chic Cocktail Swing Coat Test
Wow! That's what I have to say about this jacket!!! It is adorable. Yes, once again and can I say quite excitedly I had the opportunity to test another Heidi & Finn pattern. I saw the post that a pattern test would be coming soon for this jacket and I immediately changed the settings on my phone to notification ON so that I would not miss out on the opportunity to test. Hooray, and it paid off because here I am again showing you photos of one of my new favorite patterns.
I sewed this one up in red velvet. The lining is flannel. Can I tell you that velvet must be the most difficult fabric to sew EVER! It slipped and slid everywhere. I read that you should maybe hand stitch before actually machine stitching. I was not up to that so I just really went slow.

Some pretty little pintucks
Ahh, I am a few hours late on posting this. Yay, I got to test another Heidi & Finn pattern!!! The pattern was just released this morning and oh isn't it darling! I can promise I will be making a few of these every season for Mila. It is so sweet and simple. The pattern is great with solid fabrics and just as great for showing off the cuteness of some of those printed fabrics. I can't wait to try linen with this pattern. Here is a link to purchase the pattern for yourself : )

Signiture Look Project Run and Play Winter
I have a hard time with signature look week. I really love all types of handmade clothing. I love cute boutique knot dresses, I love the French and Italian designer clothes I try to copy once and awhile, I love clothes full of appliques, I really love it all! But I think if you looked back through my blog you would find a bunch of earth tons and raw edges.
lately I have been nuts with knits! I almost seem to have forgotten that clothes can be made with any other fabric. I am a bit new to knit fabric. It was something I had always had a fear of. That was until I purchased a walking foot. I used the Lilly Giggle pattern Zina pattern as a starting point for the top. I made a few changes such as the two piece A-line tunic shape. I wanted to add buttons but nothing seemed to work. I ended up using Babyville Boutique snaps. I am glad the buttons had not worked because I really like how the snaps turned out on the ruffle.

Let's turn on the juice and see what shakes loose (Project Run and Playweek 2)
The "let's turn on the juice" in my tittle is from Beetlejuice. A quote from beetle juice himself. I thought it was funny : )
I had such a difficult time trying to come up with a movie theme. I kept thinking of classic movies "Shirley Temple movies, "Gone With the Wind, The Sound of Music". None of them seemed to work for me. I wanted to create something Mila could wear anywhere, and out of nowhere came the idea of Beetlejuice. I LOVE that movie, its funny and quirky and cute, plus black and

Winter Wonderland
I guess some may think of winter as wonderful. Mila and I, not so much! Winter is cold, its wet, it makes the roads slippery, and most of the time its just plain not so pretty (dirty brown snow and leafless trees). Every once and awhile though we get a warmish winter day and the snow falls in big thick flakes. These days I must admit are nice especially
