We are getting a little closer to a complete Fall wardrobe in Mila's closet.  All of this testing I have been doing is well needed.  Summer clothes are on the
way out and long sleeves and warm fabrics are on the way in.  My latest test is for Lil Luxe Collection.  Wowza! Jessica has really been busy because we have three new patterns all at once : ).  I tested two and once again be ready for a bunch of photos.

I am in Minnesota, yes brrr!  Sometimes I should say, because today and all week it will be feeling more like summer. But I know the brrr is coming. That means long sleeves, which is my very favorite thing about these two dresses!

First I will talk about Socialite Peplum Bubble Dress.  Yes this dress is also available as a peplum top.  That is a project I must create because I had seen some pretty cute ones during testing.  The dress/top has no closure and just pulls over the head.     This makes for easy construction!  This pattern is available in sizes 18m-8 years.  Did you notice the princess seams : ),  No sleeves are included as well for summer.

My fabric is flannel shirting from Joann's and pleather for the flounce or what ever those shoulder things are called : ).  If you make one out of this fabric do not make the same mistake I did.  Yikes! I forgot to prewash the fabric.  It will shrink like crazy if I throw it in the wash I feel.

My husband must have really liked this dress because as soon as I got home he insisted Mila take it off so that it does not get dirty : )  My intent is that it be an every day dress.  Not a dressy dress : )

Now for dress two.  Secretly this is my favorite because it takes like 15 minutes to sew up,  I really love very quick dresses!  Plus once again long sleeves.  I love that! : )  This dress pattern is also 18m to 8 years.  Okay more photos : )

Extremely sunny day made for a difficult photograph session

I think if you love the color blocked look this dress would be perfect for that!
I grabbed the mustache fabric from Hobby Lobby but you can also find it here.

Thanks for stopping by!
I will probably be sharing a few more of these : )  I can't wait to try the peplum!

  2. 15 minutes! Amazing! Are you sure? Then maybe it would take me an hour (I'm super slow). Both dresses are gorgeous. I have never understood the mustache craze, but it looks great the way you worked it into the Modern Belle.
