The Skittles Dress

So here is my entry for week 2 of Project Run and Play.  I really thought I would never make it in time.  First off I sure had a hard time choosing a candy.  Week two is candy inspired.  Yay fun : ), but my favorite candy is anything chocolate.  I love chocolate!!! But last week my top was brown and next week my outfit will be brown so I had to go with some color : ).  My outfit is Skittles inspired.

Yum, all kids love skittles. Look, and I finally get to use my own little Mila as a model : ). I have been very excited about that! She is 6 and a half months and has been just a little too small for my other outfits.    Only problem, she cant walk so we have a whole bunch of sitting photos.  And she just refused to smile.  She was really into making bubbles though.  Anyways here she and the outfit is...
I used the new Oliver & S Playtime dress pattern.  I have now made two.  One in quilters cotton and this one in knit.  Super fast sew in knit!  I think I made the dress minus the dots in 30 minutes.  The pants are Lily Giggles petunia petal pants.  I left off the ruffle and made a cuff.
I used knit fabric for everything.  The dots and stripes were made with old t-shits.  I ironed on the dots with ultra hold Heat n Bond.
Here is my awesome little helper.  She could get Mila to smile.

I really love the stripe!
Mila liked the dots.  She loves to chew on her dresses.
