Wow! That's what I have to say about this jacket!!! It is adorable. Yes, once again and can I say quite excitedly I had the opportunity to test another Heidi & Finn pattern. I saw the post that a pattern test would be coming soon for this jacket and I immediately changed the settings on my phone to notification ON so that I would not miss out on the opportunity to test. Hooray, and it paid off because here I am again showing you photos of one of my new favorite patterns.
I sewed this one up in red velvet. The lining is flannel. Can I tell you that velvet must be the most difficult fabric to sew EVER! It slipped and slid everywhere. I read that you should maybe hand stitch before actually machine stitching. I was not up to that so I just really went slow.
I used Velcro for a closure. I was a little too scared to attempt button holes. I covered up the Velcro stitching with some pretty wooden buttons. The Velcro, I actually colored red with a fabric marker so that it would not stand out when the jacket was open. (Whoops, forgot pictures of the Velcro)
I also made the pin-tuck dress to match the jacket. I blogged about the pin-tuck dress here.
Did I say how much I love this dress pattern! : )
Both of these patterns are absolutely adorable! Christine from Heidi & Finn is having an awesome deal on the jacket pattern this week, $4.50 in her Craftsy Shop. Check out all of the other testers sew ups on the Heidi and Finn Blog!
Thanks for stopping by!!!
