A Hattie Dress Flip this Pattern for Frances Suzanne

I started by blog with the Flip This Pattern series for Frances Suzanne...and than I started testing...and kinda got super busy and paused the series for a bit,  Well I just could not skip on
this month.  I LOVE BG patterns and the Hattie is my all time Fav of Amy's patterns.  So here I am : )

Now for a Before and After.  That is the Brownie Goose photo for #1 and #2 is my flip.  By the way that is a twig in Mila's hand not a whip : )

I did make a bunch of changes.  I did take out the ruffled neck as well as the center pleat and just used bias tape and than partially covered the bias with a raw edged linen skinny ruffle. I added the bib, and also added about 15 inches to the side of the dress and than pleated that and than covered the top of the pleats with the button tabs.  I also curved the front for a high low look that I guess did not work because it does not have a high low look.

I felt like since I sew clothes for my girl maybe I should make something that looks handmade with a boutique feel.  I think I accomplished that : ).

Here are a bunch more pictures!  A few kinda blurry : )

  1. You made it....by the hair of your chinny chin chin!! So glad you made the "Flip this Pattern" deadline, and that Brownie-Goose was enticing enough to get you back for a month of FLIPS!
